We love our John Cullen lighting thank you, the light and the fittings are superior to any other and working with Ray was a joy. He created the perfect ambience in our London apartment. He shared clever ideas with us and was very patient as I have a tendency to change my mind ! He also pulled out all the stops to get the lighting delivered to us quickly. We are building a house in Shropshire and would go nowhere else for our lighting and look forward to working with Ray again. I highly recommend them ..

We are electrical contractors that were free issued John Cullen lighting for installation in a large new build domestic property in London which came to completion in January 2023. We received the data sheets for the light fittings but some details on the sheets did not match up with the actual light fittings especially cut out dimensions when in conjunction with plaster in bases. We sometimes struggled to be able to speak to a member of the technical team when required but did eventually manage a working relationship with Alex.
I feel their warehouse let John Cullen lighting down with wrong orders being dispatched on a few occasions. This then meant quite some time was required by myself to collate the lighting delivery with what was wrong and right in the deliveries. We are all human and mistakes are made but it's how those mistake are rectified. I must say that Alex and Kitty came to site and confirmed the mistakes and made sure they were corrected in time for completion of the project. We did experience a small amount light fitting failures but again these were replaced quickly.
I felt they may have been slightly understaffed and have since learnt they have increased their staff levels so hopefully this will be reflected in better technical query response times.

First the positive, I used John Cullen to design the lighting for my kitchen around four years. We were getting some renovation work done and having visited the showroom, decided to get them to design and supply the lighting. I was very happy with the design process, but after that it went wrong with multiple issues with the order and alot of chaseup, so much so I decided not to use them for the rest of the lighting work.

Overall for the rest of the work we fitted over 40 LEDs using a make recommended by our electrician. To date not a single one of the LEDs has failed, whilst around two thirds of the John Cullens ones have. On contacting John Cullen it seems a life over 2 years is deemed ok, so after a painful process - their support has not improved, I am now in the proces of replacing the engines on the majority of the lights.

In conclusion good design, but poor quality product and poor service. Unless you like hassle and changing lights we avoid.

Excellent experience at lighting masterclass and very good light planning for new house from Rebecca Hutchinson in 2015. All our German fittings in the house are lasting well however the 29 polesprings from John Cullen have been a perpetual problem with flickering and failing. The Technical Support Manager admitted there was a problem as the heat sink had to be redesigned and some were replaced under guarantee. I foolishly did not insist they were all replaced. In 2020 because they were out of guarantee we had to purchase a further four and now we have a further six or so which are flickering...... so much for the superior "made in Britain" tag! Very disappointing.
