Have used this great little shop for all things electrical for many years (it's packed full of useful things) and they are great for doing electrical repairs. Repaired my CD deck at a very reasonable price and completed the job quickly. Always helpful and friendly service. Highly recommended. Local is best!

What. A. Gem. Neil Electrics is the kind of shop you dream of finding when you’ve got something electrical that’s broken (an old and cherished floor lamp in my case) or you need some new parts or just some friendly advice.

A proper shop where people know what they are doing, are helpful, responsive and what I call ‘fully paid-up members of the human race’.

My mother is visiting from Jamaica and needed an adapter to charge her electronics. She went to this store and the woman there was extremely helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. So much so, that when I joined her and needed my adapter, as hers would not work for my laptop, she took me back to the same store, to get help from the same woman. She was able to find one that worked for my laptop literally within seconds and even made suggestions for an alternative if I did not want an adapter. It is very well-priced and works perfectly.

I'm really gutted about my experience here, I wanted to support a local business and so I took my bankers lamp which was shortcutting to be fixed, once I had paid the ‘£10’ deposit, I later received a text with a quote of a price higher than the lamp was worth!

I think if my husband had gone instead of me, there is no way they would of asked a man to pay over £100 for something that is deemed a small task taking under 10-15minutes.

I learnt my lesson and found a lovely, genuine place further out to get a separate lamp fixed, I brought it in, they looked at it and gave me a quote then and there. None of this “10” consultation fees.

Once you pay the 10 you feel obliged to go on with the order/fix so as not to lose it, then they pay you over market rates because your trapped.

Really pleased Kish managed to repair an expensive wall light. I had tried 3 other places including the manufacturer. Excellent service and reasonable price.

Upgrade of 40 year old table lamp: It needed a new light socket fitted - along with cable with an on/off switch. Also, inner circular platform - fixed to light socket - had collapsed inside the casing and needed restoring back to original position. Electrician met the brief entirely - to a very high standard - in just two days. The table lamp has never looked better. Neil Electrics rivals The Repair Shop seen on T.V.

Excellent customer service and very friendly staff . I’m very happy with my two recently repaired beautiful Moroccan lamps which I had repaired at Neil’s electrics . It’s an amazing place , a bit like Aladin’s cave , I love it, you can find everything that you need , and get your electrical items repaired which is great . I will highly recommend to all my friends and family . 😊

I’ve been searching for a telephone handset cable for weeks - found it here! They said ‘yeah of course we’ve got them’ when everywhere else said ‘that’s too old fashioned’. If only they could also protect the cable from my chomping cat…but at least I know where to go if she bites through it again…!! Thanks Neil Electrics!
