We visited this superb lighting centre just to get some ideas for some new light fittings for our living room. With this showroom though, you pay for what you get. For all we were determined to find some light fittings in Next (which our neighbour had...) we ended up spending over £250 on 2 glorious fittings which, when we saw them, was love at first sight! But that's the whole story about this shop - yes it's not cheap but the items they sell there are absolute class. Will return regularly!!

On our visit to the shop today looking for help for my friends 2 table lamps, James and his staff one young man in poetically wish we had got his name ? We just want to thank them both, they went out of their way to help us, it was refreshing to met 2 polite young men, the shop as a fantastic choice of beautiful lights, anyone looking for outstanding lights and very helpful staff that's the place to go, 2 very happy customers when we left there shop, 😊😊

We'd been looking for a new chandelier for our dining room area, and it was proving a little tough as I didn't want anything overly showy or overstated. When we arrived at PLC I was amazed at the selection, and there was a load of choice.
John, one of the sales team, took us to see one that he thought would fit the bill - and I loved it!!
It is the perfect size, it fits the space beautifully and I am delighted with the recommendation!
John showed us how we could add shades should we wish, and we did (these were ordered from elsewhere and didn't come with the chandelier).

We moved 3 months ago and didn't know about this gem until we'd purchased other lighting from tinternet ... what a mistake!!!! If only we knew about this shop we could have had a field day 😊 We got exactly what we wanted and an unexpected new clock!!
Matthew was so helpful showing items with different bulbs, explaining choices of dimming etc. and the store is beautiful, no pushy staff. If the husband hadn't been there I would have stayed all day. Our new floor lamp is delightful, as was the price and our new clock fits perfectly with our spitfire/WWII decor. Pricing is not over the top, you get what you pay for and the quality and service is first class. Thank you for a lovely shopping experience with no stress involved. Will definitely return, if not for lightning, lots of other accessories caught our eye. (Still unpacking, hence the empty cabinet!!)

We ordered three lovely lights and they were ready for collection as advised, no problem. Two were the same style fitting.
Came the day for the electrician to fit them and he had a struggle understanding the instructions of the type we had two of. Lovely guy but I think he just thought he saw a problem, and decided the fittings were not made well and there was no way he could make them up and fit them. The instructions were fine, it was just a fiddly job, the fittings were made well. I decided I would try make them up myself and I was getting there but having a 3 year old trying to ‘help’ as well as dealing with the electrician I was getting a bit stressed and so I decided to call the cavalry! I rang the store and spoke to John and asked if I could come by with the fittings and the grandson. That was absolutely no problem.
I arrived with semi made light fittings and grandson in tow. John obviously expected me and saw I was a woman who needed help! He took the fittings from me, got me a drink of water and sorted my grandson out with colouring book and crayons. Then together with his colleague James, the fittings were laid out in a corner of the store and the three of us made up the fittings there and then. I was so relieved and the fittings were lovely, well made and were exactly what we had ordered.
I returned home to a bemused electrician but he fitted them well and with no problem.

This is an example of fabulous above and beyond after sales service from the staff at the store. Thank you John and James. You helped a lady in distress, first world problems I know, but it meant a lot.
I love my light fittings, they are exactly what I wanted and I would recommend Portrack Lighting Centre in a heartbeat.
Maybe not my lovely electrician, he’s a great bloke even if a tad defeatist 😅

A1 Service, Recommend to All. Fantastic Shop with plenty of choices (not just lights). Staff very friendly, professional and don't pressure you in anyway. John takes time to show you and help with any questions you need to know. He really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. I have always bought my lights from here and pleased with them all.
